Scott Di Lalla – Director – “I am ZoZo” January 23-7 PM EST

A few months ago I interviewed Darren Evans who shared with us his story of a dark and mysterious entity that invaded his life and changed him forever. This is serious stuff. Not to be taken lightly. His story has been made into a movie. I will be talking with ther director and also .. quite possibly Darren. You must tune in…. listen to my chat with him —> HERE

I Am ZoZo is an independent horror film inspired by accounts of real supernatural events. The story concerns a Ouija board experience that goes wrong on Halloween weekend and five young people who become the target of a malevolent spirit called ZoZo.

Writer-director-cinematographer Scott Di Lalla embarked on the making of I Am ZoZo with his One World Studios partner, Zack Coffman, who served as producer-editor. Di Lalla and Coffman had met at UCLA in the Tae Kwon Do club. Together, they fantasized about making movies. Then in 2004, they produced Choppertown, a cinema verite biker documentary that was embraced by the motorcycle community, went on to win festival awards, and launched a full-fledged distribution outfit.

For I Am ZoZo, the filmmakers’ first narrative feature, they agreed that a good horror story requires the perfect setting. Seattle and San Juan Island were chosen for their gloomy, dreary weather to accentuate the feeling of isolation.

Next, they discussed how to achieve the right look for the film. “Horror absolutely must have the right look to elicit an eerie feeling,” says Di Lalla. “I had been doing a lot of research and came across The National’s ‘Fake Empire’ music video. When I learned it was digitized Super 8, I was sold. It was exactly what we wanted.”

Di Lalla and Coffman acquired the same type of camera as used on the music video – a Canon 1014 XLS with a fixed zoom lens – and loaded up on KODAK VISION3 200T Color Negative Film 7213. “It was a brand new stock and the images were so much smoother,” Di Lalla notes. “We shot every frame of I Am ZoZo on it.”

“Cost wasn’t the deciding factor,” continues Di Lalla. “It was about shooting the film we wanted to make the right way with the right production values. Compared to HD video, it really wasn’t significantly more expensive to shoot film, especially Super 8. Plus, lighting was a consideration. Film has more latitude than digital video in high key light situations and the negative is extremely forgiving.

Susan Isabelle-Keeper of the 13th Crystal Skull and Activator-January 16th-7 PM EST

This week I will be talking with a very special person indeed. She has some really profound things to share with us and teach us. I am and have been for a while now, really looking forward to this show.
What if I were to tell you the Keeper of the 13th Crystal Skull,
The Real “Indiana Jones” is a Woman? Her name is Susan Isabelle

The 13th Crystal Skull may be seen at the
Shambhala Center
  Mt Shasta, Ca.
May 20, 2000.

Susan touched the 13th Crystal Skull and something began to happen to her. She grew in size and several crystal skull images  began appearing around and above  her. It was then that the Maya knew she was the Keeper of the Maya skull.
Susan is the only living Crystal Skull Keeper that has been GIVEN a crystal skull by the Maya and recognized as a skull keeper.
They told her, “TAKE THIS! You will know how to use it, you are the Keeper!”

Initially, Susan refused the skull, but later that night the Maya returned again saying,

“The villages have met. You are the Keeper, you must take the skull!”

Hello! I am the Crystal Skull
El Aleator, I was received in Belize by Susan Isabelle in 2000.

I was found by the villagers under a sacred ceiba tree at the pyramids after  a hurricane toppled the tree. It was the  largest and oldest tree in the whole area.  Ancients buried me there for safe  keeping, most likely when the Spanish invaded the country. The Maya priests knew i must be spared and hid me in the root of the tree. Many centuries later, I was found and returned to my Keeper, Susan Isabelle.
 Susan fulfilled the requirements,
they knew she was the true Keeper  and made her take me.
My name means, “Lord of the Tones & Frequencies”
I have a Mate called El Za Ra, Or the “Daughter of Light”
I want you to know something about me…..
I have the ability to GROW IN SIZE and change my shape!

WE TURN INTO LIQUID LIGHT!
WE CHANGE OUR FORM
THERE IS NOTHING LIKE US ON THE EARTH!
We don’t come from Earth!

District 97’s Jonathan Schang and Rob Clearfield – January 2nd – 7PM EST

JOIN ME AS I TALK WITH TWO MEMBERS OF “DISTRICT 97” THE DRUMMER JONATHAN SCHANG AND THE KEYBOARD PLAYER ROB CLEARFIELD. I HOPE TO FIND OUT WHAT DRIVES THIS YOUNG AMBITIOUS PROGRESSIVE BAND AND HOW THEY HAVE GROWN TOGETHER AS MUSICIANS.

Jonathan Schang is proud to be the drummer and primary composer for District 97.  In addition to his activities within the band, Jonathan is one of Chicago’s busiest and most in-demand Modern Dance Accompanists.  He has been commissioned to write works for Deeply Rooted Dance Theater and Thodos Dance Chicago, with future collaborations in the works involving the most gifted members of Chicago’s thriving dance community.  Having won numerous awards for both his compositional and drumset prowess, Jonathan has performed with Chicago’s most legendary musicians, including a national TV appearance with former Miles Davis Musical Director (1979-1988), Robert “Baabe” Irving III. In October 2010, Jonathan was signed as a Paiste Cymbals Artist. Fellow Paiste Artist Bill Bruford (Yes, King Crimson, Genesis, Earthworks etc.) calls District 97 “sensational” and says “Jonathan writes and plays like a demon.” The pair had a chance to meet and jam together in Memphis, TN in December 2010.

From an early age, keyboardist Rob Clearfield has always shown a fascination in all types of music.  From his humble beginnings playing grunge rock in his friends’ basements and accompanying choirs at his mother’s church, Clearfield has become a fixture on the Chicago music scene.  Although perhaps a rocker at heart, Clearfield has made a name for himself as one of Chicago’s best  improvisers, performing with such renowned artists as Fareed Haque, Rakalam Bob Moses, Grazyna Auguscik, Juma Santos, Steve Gorn, Zach Brock, John Wojciechowski and Greg Ward, among others.  In addition to District 97, Rob Clearfield is also a member of Matt Ulery’s Loom and Greg Ward’s Fitted Shards, as well as his own band Information Superhighway.  As a composer, Clearfield’s work with the Superhighway is only the beginning.  In 2008, he was commissioned to score a production of MacBeth by Purdue University, and he is also currently the music director and composer-in-residence at the emergent church Wicker Park Grace in Chicago.

Philip Coppens-Author/Editor/Investigative Journalist Dec.5th 7 PM EST

Philip Coppens’ publishing career began at the age of 23, when he edited the legacy of the late Belgian historian Marcel Mestdagh’s research into European megaliths into a much-anticipated sequel. That same year, he also helped edit a controversial non-fiction thriller on the theft of Jan Van Eyck’s The Adoration of the Lamb, which was made into a documentary both for Flemish television and the BBC.

If there is one thing that sets Coppens apart from other writers, it is that he is often ahead of the trends. He wrote the first guide in more than four decades about Rosslyn Chapel – the only one to do so before The Da Vinci Code made that Scottish chapel world famous in 2003. He also researched the origins of the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull, before the 2008 Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull movie, resulting in a series of controversial articles, which even came to the attention of The Washington Post.

As a journalist, he had investigative research into the Kennedy assassination submitted before a US government enquiry in 1993. Two years later, he broke the story of the existence of Chinese pyramids to an international audience. Many of the stories in the so-called “esoteric field” have at one point passed through his hands, including The Templar Revelation, the book on which The Da Vinci Code was based. In 1999, he was the principal researcher for Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince’s The Stargate Conspiracy, which investigated current politicians’ apparent obsession with ancient Egypt, thus combining his passion for politics and history. The book was dedicated to him.

He is the author of The Stone Puzzle of Rosslyn Chapel (2002), on the enigmatic Scottish chapel and its relationship with freemasonry and the Knights Templar; The Canopus Revelation (2004), on the lore of the star Canopus in ancient cultures; Land of the Gods (2007), on the prehistory of Southern Scotland and the myth of King Arthur; The New Pyramid Age (2007), detailing the most recent discoveries that have changed our understanding of pyramids; andServants of the Grail (2009), identifying the real people encoded into the medieval Grail legends. Most recently, he has published an ebook, 2012. Science or Fiction?, with Digital Journeys, which aims to bring clarity as to what 2012 is truly all about. The ebook is also the first to have incorporated video, featuring an interview-style conversation with Philip. His latest book is The Ancient Alien Question (2011), addressing the question whether extra-terrestrial contact has occurred in our past.

This picture is one of the most fascinating I found of Philip and I can not wait to talk to him.

Carrying the Bones of Mary Magdalene

Life can be full of interesting and beautiful surprises. Some weeks ago, we learned – by coincidence – that the relic of St Baume, the tibia of Mary Magdalene, was going to tour Southern California, making its way down from San Francisco to San Diego. The relic is one of the most renowned relics of this saint, and key to her sojourn in Southern France.
Each day, and sometimes twice a day, a church had opened its doors so that this precious relic could be put on display for veneration, normally accompanied by a celebration of mass.
Both Kathleen and I had seen the relic in its native setting of St Baume – as recently as May 2010 – but the opportunity to see this relic while on tour in California was not going to be missed. A number of factors – and a very late and impromptu adjustment of our own plans – meant we saw the relic in Hollywood, at St Victor’s, on March 5. We were too late for mass, but were happy to see (as we entered) that the relic could be approached and even touched – in its display cabinet – by all those desiring to venerate it. In fact, you could venerate it more closely and more personally than in its French setting.
Afterwards, we made our way to the little (mobile) information booth, where through a series of interesting coincidences, Kathleen was identified by Paula Lawlor, the organiser of the tour, and we all got to talk, me with Father Thomas, the Dominican priest of St Baume whom we had see celebrate mass in May in St Baume and who accompanied this relic throughout California.
When the veneration was about to end, Father Thomas unexpectedly asked whether I could help him carry the relic to the car, so they could make their way to Montclair – the next step on the pilgrimage. And so I ended up carrying the bones of Mary Magdalene in what was a most surprising and unexpected and beautiful little procession. So I put Mary Magdalene in the back of a car… cool!

Helen Michaels and Lorraine Roe-“Audacious Action Angels” Oracle deck November 28th-7 PM EST

Join me next week as I talk with the creators of a deck of cards I thought were Tarot cards! I have talked with Tarot users and creators in the past but this time it is an ORACLE DECK! Very different. And very exciting to learn something new. Let us take this jouney together and see just what this is all about.

Helen Michaels

Helen Michaels is a co-creator with Lorraine Roe of the Audacious Action Angels (AAA) Oracle Deck. Helen is an artist, Reiki practitioner, and a very experienced art therapist. She and Lorraine have been on a high octane spiritual journey for a few decades now and learning to live with their emerging psychic abilities. Much to their surprise, messages and information from the angelic and fairy realms are filled with wit and humor that end up piercing the ego’s perspective – which isn’t exactly the ‘feel good’ part! After Lorraine asked Helen to do up a few ideas for an oracle deck, Helen was downloaded with images, titles and basic structure for the deck in about 3 hours. Then she created a painting a day for more than a month to birth the deck into visual form. Although Helen is a life-long artist, she had not received creative inspiration “straight from God” in this way before, but laying a spiritual foundation was the first step. Helen is excited to collaborate with Lorraine and share their real life, on-going experience ofembodying spirit.

Lorraine Roe

Lorraine Roe is a former Emmy award winning investigative television reporter and producer who hears and sees spirit. Working in the psychic realms since 2002, Roe tells it like it is. She takes her reporter skills and asks the tough questions about life on the other side. She also laughs a lot. Roe is a Huffington Post blogger, has her own website at http://www.psychichousewives.com, and has a husband and three children who all live in Los Angeles, CA.
